Safe to apply to chrome rims? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking for something to help cut down on the overspray when I apply tire cleaner/dressing to my tires which will then cut down on the amount of work cleaning the wheels. At least that's my thinking. What I'm thinking about doing is cutting some plastic pieces that I can then tape to the wheels before I apply the tire cleaner and then the dressing. Just don't want to put something on the wheel that may damage it. Thanks

Cut out a piece of cardboard the size of your rim with a finger hole in the middle and spray on product. its cheap and readily available and helps cut down almost all overspray on chrome rims:rocker:

I'm actually wanting something I can leave on there when I spray on the tire cleaner then hose it down and can still leave on there when I spray the tire dressing at the end. This will cut the wheel cleaning time down to less than half the time I am spending on them right now. That's why I was thinking the plastic.

Clever idea....

Been using this method forever but now i have those 24" wheels and havent made a new piece yet
