OK, now what do I do with these areas? I've read that you shouldn't tip the PC up because it's very hard on the pads, but what do I do with areas like these: The ridge along the lower body https://www.f150online.com/galleries...495-149785.jpg The curved area beneath my grille - not the lower grille, the upper grille... it's a bad picture - I really mean the curved ends of the area beneath the grille - again with keeping the PC flat in those areas... https://www.f150online.com/galleries...495-149786.jpg The sides of my hood scoop... https://www.f150online.com/galleries...495-149787.jpg |
And these:
These two small areas on the door frame - I assume open the door and get each of them... https://www.f150online.com/galleries...495-149788.jpg This area above the rear lens - it's too small for the pad not to contact the lens... or do I polish and wax the lens too? Or just tape the h3ll out of it? https://www.f150online.com/galleries...495-149789.jpg I'm just waiting for a good day so I can wash, polish and seal it. [edited both 'cuz apparently [IMG] tags > me  ] |
And a HUGE thanks to Patrick at Exceldetail.com for all your help and the pads! :rocker:

You still will have to do some areas by hand... this isn't a total replacement product.
Further, to avoid potential backing plate induced problems, always keep the PC flat on the paint... it's the backing plate that you should be more worried about verus warping or ripping a pad... RP :D |
