Sunday detail-a-thon. The Good Part....

Ahhhh, I clayed Saturday. Today was the Mothers 3-step phase 1 & 2, then FX. The Tan terror is back to her purdy off-the-lot self again. I'm pretty impressed with how easy FX was to apply/remove. We'll see how it holds up vs. NXT.

wow. look at that perspective. You really ARE tall!

dservit,

Your truck looks excellent!

I agree, the FX is about as easy as it gets. I find it has similar durability to NXT (maybe a tad more than NXT - at least "visually").

If you get the "itch" to "tinker" with the appearance a little bit, look into the new Mothers' Reflections "Top Coat"... another excellent product. It is a polymer/carnauba blend wax with NO cleaners, so it is "layerable" (to an extent). I find it to be "sweet" over the Synwax and also easy to apply/remove! :D

I had another shot that I hunched over for... was going to post "My View" and "Normal Person View"

Boss - I was thinking about using the phase 3 pure carnuba wax as a topper this week. I have a bottle, plus you get a little sample bottle every time you get the California Gold Clay bar. So I've got all these little bottles floating around. Now, to help maintain the look and protection until it's next wax I picked up the FX Spray wax... is that still gonna work well if I top it with carnuba? I don't see why not, but again I'm mixing stuff that really wasn't 'formulated' to mix together.

Thanks for the kudos guys.

The bad part now is that you have to drive it and get it all dirty again!

FordTruckMan82 06-20-2005 09:11 PM

I'm going to pick up a bottle of that FX Spray Wax and use some next time I wash my truck to keep up the beautiful reflections that I get.

Dzervit, your truck looks great, I love that shade of gold. :bows:

Dzervit,

What percent tint did you put on your front windows? Looks like you matched your rear ones perfectly and that's what I'm going for.

Great detail work... All hail the Beige Beast. :bows:

dzervit 06-21-2005 06:02 PM

Pete - it's a 20% Tint.

y2kstratus 06-21-2005 06:22 PM

Great job  Is that factory or after market tint. I'm looking otget mine done but I want it done professionally so it lasts. The chrome bumper guard and door trim looks awesome.

dzervit 06-21-2005 06:49 PM

Rear factory, front aftermarket. Done by a pro shop and backed for life, it only cost $50. I'm a repeat customer at a local shop and they do great work! woo-hoo!
