How many of you guys order from Meguiars?

I just put in my first online order with Meguiars, I got some of the EXTRA All Purpose Cleaner & some Heavy Duty Carpet cleaner. My brother just purchased a used car so I'm going to detail it out for him. He's going to need a new paint job but I'm going to do what I can with his current one. Any of you guys have a recommendation on a place to have it painted?

I also picked up a Meguiars shirt, the one with the 57 Chevy Bel Air. I can't beleive I purchased something that has a Chevrolet on it but it's a nice shirt.

I ordered their Concours kit about a year ago, how I got my first PC DA buffer, comes with a lifetime warranty from Meguiars.

After reading numerous posts by Rockpick, Boss_429, Intel486, to name a few, I dove in and purchase the kit from Meguiars. Also went to PAC and purchased a lot of different things from Dwayne to try different products.

Meguiar's ships nearly everything they sell out of a warehouse very near Nashville, Tennessee and thus, ship times will vary based on that location.

I order from a variety of online resources including premiumautocare.com, meguiars.com, and several others.

Are the packages with the buffer (e.g. Centennial, Concours) a good value?

TIA.

They are a good value b/c the G-100 has a lifetime warranty and you get a wide range of products. However, you may or may not need all of it and might want to consider focusing on the products you do want to try.

You might want to check out:

http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com

They have a great promotion going on right now on the Meguiar's G-100. It comes with pads and backing plates for an incredible price. I would really recommend checking this out!

Generally speaking, yes. If you're needing all the products that come with the package.

Personally, I would find more value in going with slippy's suggestion and individualizing your products more for your individual style of detailing (that is unless one of those packages fits it with the products included)

I guess I don't really have an individual style of detailing as yet. I am just looking for a way to get a buffer and some good product for the best value.

I got my stuff!

I love this t-shirt, only thing I own with a Chevrolet on it, but you can't really hate on a 57' Chevy.

Going to try out the products I got tonight. EXTRA & Carpet Cleaner, I'll have to do a reveiw.

Glad you got your stuff in. Meguiar's, along with several other online retailers, offers pretty good service! Let us know how you like the EXTRA!

Oh yeah, I thought you'd like this picture...

Awesome picture, I don't like Chevy but they have made some nice ones in the past.

I tried out that EXTRA on my brothers engine compartment and I am speechless. I'm waiting until I can work in the sunlight to keep going because I can't take a good picture of the difference at night. This stuff is just flat out amazing, I could not beleive how well it cleaned up the grease. I was really liking that Greased Lightning Automotive Cleaner but EXTRA kicks it's butt. I have never seen anything get rid of oil and grease like that!

I'm actually signed up to attend a "Detail Day" at Meguiar's Headquarters in Irvine, CA on April 2nd. I can't wait!

RP, did you go to a detail day or was it one of their pay seminars?

I'll keep yall posted on some things I learn and can hopefully share with my friends here at f150online.
