Long term storage? help

Im going to store my 2000 f150 lariat in corvallis oregon for the summer while i go back to alaska. What should i do to it before i leave? I think it will be under cover.

Change the oil and filter RIGHT before you store it, jack the tires off the ground with the suspension loaded, add Stabil to the fuel, and disconnect the negative battery cable. I usually wash and wax mine to protect the paint. If it's rural, you should duct tape your exhaust tip to keep rodents out. If you want to go crazy about it, do a search here or online for "vehicle storage". There are many posts and websites that have in-depth lists.

for the summer?

For 2 warm summer months, I wouldn't even worry about formal storage.

Disconnect battery and change oil.... other than that I would consider this parked for 2 months.

I've seen cars sit on dealer lots longer than that.
