Another Wake up - 1957 Chevrolet 210 - Paint Correction and Gloss Enhancement

So I'm gonna keep this one simple and let the pics speak for themselves.

I was not sure when I booked this car if it was base/clear or single stage.
Sadly, the car looked like it had been washed 100 times with a Brillo pad.
I choose HD Adapt as the polish candidate. It works with both paint types.

Process:
Wash: 2 bucket method, Incredimitt wash mitt and Iron-X Snow soap
Decon: Iron-X, Nanoskin Fine with Optimum No Rinse for a clay lube
Compound: Rupes 21ES, 5" Carpro Flash Pad & HD Adapt Compound
Polish: Rupes 21, LC 5" Hydro-Tech Red foam pads & Carpro Reflect
Small Areas: PC, Carpro 3 1/2" Flash, LC 4" Red CCS & Unigrit 3" BP
LSP: PERL on tires. Coli 845 on Chrome. Blackfire WD on Paint areas

Absolutely stunning job.. Anyone can detail a new car or truck but there something to be said about detailing and maintaining older vehicles. You sir, did an excellent job..

So was it base coat/clear or single stage? Looks cleared..I've been maintaining/detailing my 88 Mustang GT with single stage paint since new and I'd like to adapt some of these technics if it is.. For instance Ive used Iron-X and Nanoskin on my truck but never thought it was safe to use on the mustang and I usually detail the stang entirely by hand. One time I tried a DA and was worried about the amount of paint I was removing and stopped immediately. 845 looks great on chrome , I'd don't have much of it, I usually use Opt metal polish but shoot 845 looks just as good..

Both old and new vehicles look Awsome.

Thank you very much for your kind words.

Oddly enough it was base/clear.
He had it repainted about 20 years ago.

Oh yeah it does! We have a '69 camaro that has horrible paint on it, it's cracking and flaking off since it sat outside in the TX heat for awhile. All I've been able to do is just give it a gentle handwash every now and then.

Merlin I always hesitate to click on your posts because you make me feel so inferior. If I work my butt off the best I can do is just the starting point for your expertise.

Very nice job on both, but I think the 57 is much more stunning than the Vette. Pat yourself on the back for both of those beauties!
