One of the reasons why there are not many lifted trucks in ontario is because 99% of insurance companies will not cover lifted trucks. i have called dozen of insurance companies and brokers, and all have told me "by lifting your vehicle, you now change the centre of gravity making it a tipping hazard." they also told me they do not cover modifcations at all. i have heard too many stories of insurance companies dropping clients on the spot because of undisclosed modifications. i am currenty searching for that 1% that will insure a lifted truck. if anyone has any information, please let me know. thanks
I am not sure who you have been dealing with but I have had both lifted and lowered vehicles (trucks and cars) and never had a problem insuring them. Both big name insurance companies too. Never even had someone come check my vehicle out either like alot of people say (Other than the show car I had years ago, but thats a whole different story). PM'ing you details.
