buying a used f150

Hi - looking at buying my first f150 - my budget is $15-18g. I've seen a 2006 Supercrew Lariat 138,000miles going for $14,500. Should I avoid this (spark plug and cam phaser issues?). maybe look for a 2007, with fewer miles?

Any advice would be appreciated,

Cheers

Leigh

The spark plug issue is not really a big thing if you have someone do the change that knows what they are doing. If the motor is currently quiet, most likely the phasers are a non-issue as well. Keep in mind that the same potential problem exists on the 2007s, the heads were not changes until mid year on the 2008s.
