Why would my caliper bolts keep shaking loose? I just lost one and the caliper stripped the inside of my rim and cracked it This is the second time this has happened but on the opposite wheel.

 

Had a Ranger that did the same thing, I put new bolts and a couple of drops of Locktite and no more problems.

yep i had to do that on my 07, lost one after i installed my lift kit, first time i ever lost a caliper bolt.

 

My lower bolt fell off at exit 293 on I-90 in Spokane while on vacation two weeks ago...someone forgot the lock- tite. Stuff actually works. Nicely augered out my 17" wheel.

 

242 is your friend. I have a giant bottle I use on my Harley to keep things from vibrating loose.

 

Blue loctite after I put my lift on one of my calipers came loose because stupid me did not loctite the bolts when I put them back on, it sounded terrible going down a gravel driveway you could hear it clunking but I could not pin down where the sound was coming from till my buddy was helping me try to find out where the sound was coming from and he accidently put his hand on the caliper and it was loose, I put blue loctite on it and it has not come loose since....
