Refresh my memory... is the tailgate section zippered to the bed section? Cuz I could see ordering a new tailgate piece in case something really horrible tears it up.

Mine is not. I wish it was. Not sure if you can get that as an option.

Okay no problem. Which, come to think of it, is a better idea. Cuz as I broomed out the concrete debris, there was nothing to catch or impede the sweeping process. Clear shot all the way out to the edge of the tailgate.

Nevermind! Don't want any zipper there!

I had a Bedrug for 5 years in my 2010 I just sold.

I ABUSED the thing. Mulch, Gravel, Dirt, Gas, Oil.........about 500lbs of shingles on a skid. They couldn't get the skid deep enough into the bed to shut the tailgate at first, so he had to back up and tilt the skid, putting a lot of force on the pallet digging into the Bedrug. I was nervous while it was happening that it would tear. It didn't touch it.

I'd pull mine out about once a year to clean under it, and power wash it or shop vac it the other times.

I just bought a 2013 and will absolutely have another Bedrug. It WILL hold up.

Encouraging info, Jason. Maybe I *will* keep it in there for now!

Thanks,

Andy

Verdict? Like it so far? Were you able to damage it yet?

So far, so good. I've not done any real "heavy hauling" with it, but must say my knees appreciate the cushion it provides when crawling around in the bed. Based on what I've read about it, I'm pretty confident it will be years before I'd need to consider replacement.

Good to hear they are rugged. I never worked mine or put a heavy load in the bed since installing mine. Frankly I have an OCD fit when there is a little dirt in mine. I can not phantom having dirt or mulch in it!

After living with the BedRug for a bit, I'm glad I gave it a try. I *really* like the padding for the ol' knees, and it's holding up great after hauling wood, concrete blocks, an old water heater, wheels/tires, and more. I've done nothing more than vacuum it, and... well, you can see for yourselves:

I've had mine for 10 years...and like others, have hauled steel, concrete, lumber and even 1800 lbs of sod...looks brand new still....sweep & vacume is all the maintenance. Very nice of the knees and I really like the fatc that it levels the bed out flat and there are no condensation issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!extremely well designed and excellent materials!

a rariety today IMHO.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love mine with the full tilt Extang tonneau cover. Just vacuum it out and it's as good as new.. 3 years on mine and still looks new.

Mine is absolutely FILTHY right now. Way overdue for a vacuuming. Got rust stains and concrete block crumbs everywhere.

And it is STILL working just fine and comfy to crawl around on! Easily sold it to three friends once they crawled inside. They know. They KNOW.
