Question bedliner question

When you apply a bedliner,, before you apply it do you need to scuff the paint to make it adhere better??? Or can you just straight apply it without doing any kind of scuffing??

thanks marc

The directions on your can of product should be your guide, but I am certain you would have to rough up the surface before you apply it, just as you would for any kind of paint, coating, etc.

Amazingly i read the directions,, after i posted. They say nothing about scuffing,, just clean,,, dirt grease and whatever else you want to add. Thanks for reply.

I am going to use some scotch brite and some sand paper to make it a little rough.

I used 40 Grit to scuff for my bed liner and it holds up great. I used the duplicolor brand. Check my build thread for my prep and results.
