Just bought a 2012 F-150 FX4 V6 ecoboost and put a bed mat in the bed. Just noticed a few days later that the bed mat is now discolored and melted in one spot. Looking underneath the bed the exhaust is really close to the bottom of the bed where the bed mat is melting. After driving to work I got out and felt the bed where the mat is melting and of course the bed was hot there.

Looks like I found a defect with this new truck. Good thing I was hauling camping gear!

Anyone else seen this?
