Hard tonneau front corner's (09-11)

Hi all. I have been looking at hard tonneau's lately, paint-able, smooth, and with a little style (ie raised center and body lines built in). On every new body style cover that I have looked at so I can see the front corner bed rail cap (with the unit in its fully closed position). I get the geometry of why they seem to have to do that, but to me it looks stupid. There must be someone out there who has devised a hinge system that allows for a fully covered bed rail in the closed position. I by no means have looked at them all, and almost all manufacturers only show a tailgate end view of their product mounted on an f150.

Has anyone seen a hard cover that shows absolutely no sign of the bed rail cap when the cover is closed? If so, maker, and pics maybe?

Ryan, by your "guess" reference, I am assuming that you have not actually seen one of these on a new style truck in person. This product, like pretty much all the others only show online pics of a rear view. The pic you linked is of the cover open from the front. I wonder what it looks like closed? I dont want to see the black bed rail cap at all, even if you try, when the lid is closed.

Can those of you with a fiberglass lid, comment on what brand it is you have, and whether or not it covers completely?

I'll let you know when I get mine. I order it a week ago and was told it would be three weeks so I'll have any answer in about 2 weeks!

Thanks, I look forward to it.

2veloce, any chance you can snap a pic of the front corner of the lid. Can you see the black bed rail cap at the front corner when the lid is closed on your leer?

Note the black rubber across the front is a drip rail attached to the Leer cover. This prevents any water from running down the front side and into the bed.

This is my third Leer cover and I have never had any leaks.

I know that Jason industries covers. They use a lift style hinge instead of a piano hinge. That way it lifts up and away from the truck above the rails when open. Most use a piano hinge that's flat. And since the f150 is a wrap over design, they cut the corners short so it won't get into the bedside. Hope it helps. That leer looks good also.

My '07 has a Leer cover and its the same style.
