No I have no issue with dirty or spots between the truck and the topper (cap)

The cap fits pretty close to the cab of the truck.

cool thanks! i was planning on getting just a fixed slider on the shell/cap and eventually getting a manual slider for the cab of the truck. planning on using it for camping so to have the ability to put some sort of boot between the cap and cab for ac during summer is gonna be good.... winter time involves a sleeping bag!!

I have had a slider in the cab and cap before and it is vary handy. A skinny person can fit thru while driving and get things you need.

If my truck had a slider the topper would also but since it did not I saw no reason for it.

Im keeping an eye open for a black shell. I want to do the same thing as you, full carpet, sleeping area, and limo-tinted windows all around the camper...

I would avoid Leer, as well. Looks good from a distance, but up close is different story. Poor paint job, poor fit, cheap slider.

Slash, that's a great looking topper. I like how the rise at the front of the topper, on the side, mimics the front door panel rise on the 150

Unless you absolutely need it, I would stay away from using a boot in between. I heard of the paint be rubbed becaused of them.

I just got a 2000 F150 reg cab short bed and i'm looking for used camper for it. I hope someone here can answer a couple of questions for me:
1. will F150 short beds after 2003 be the same size as mine? (i.e., will the same camper top fit both?)
2. Are other brand (Chevy, Dodge) short beds the same size? (i.e,.... etc.)

thanks for your time
joe
