Retrax or Pace Edwards?
I recently purchased an 05 super crew, and am loving it. I have noticed that a lot of people seem to prefer the Retrax cover over the Pace Edwards, I have been having a hard time as to which one to choose and was wondering what are the benefits of one compared to the others. I read somewhere that the Retrax is not waterproof, so does that mean what you have in the bed will still get wet or what.
I also have a lot more mods to do, thanks to this website!

My PE rolltop just arrived last night. I'm going to try to get it installed this weekend and take pics of the process. At least that might give you an idea of the installation grief (if any), although it'll be a while before I can comment on leaks, wear and tear.

REtrax or Pace Edwards
There is a great comparison chart at http://www.truckgadgets.com/compare_covers.htm They list a whole bunch of covers . I ended up with the retrax because my last Pace Edward cover leaked like a sieve. No leaks with the Retrax so far.

Well, the P-E is in and I'm a happy camper. I still need to adjust the latching receivers in the rails, but that's not a big deal. To summarize the installation:
1. The quality of the product is quite good
although I'm not in any position to give you a comparison. At $735 delivered for a SCrew, I thought the price was good too.
2. The quality of the instructions was mediocre at best
I guess I was expecting something more of a "Rolltop Installation for Dummies". The pictures were too small and one was not even referenced in the text. In all fairness to P-E, you can go to P-E's website and download instructions from there, as well as take a closer look at the images.
I've tried to provide some additional info in my gallery. Perhaps some of this info, when combined with the instructions, will be of some help.
