Also what kind would i need to do the a/c heater control ones, the steering wheel controls and the headlight switch?
Here is what I went out and bought:

And here is what my passenger door window switch looked like:

I have a 2003 STX. My door locked looked just like that as well.

Edit: Also, be careful, I just did this!

Jake-would this mod be possible to do on the Lariat digatal compass/ hvac controls? I have been thinking bout a mod like this for a while and I want the hvac/ compass- control to match.

I plan on replacing the new LED's that I just put in, due to I heard the clear color LED's are much brighter than the color coated LED's.

the hvac controls are simple and covered in raptors cluster swap and ill look at the digital compass pics from patmans write up and see what could be done

most circuit boards will run a 3 or 5mm LED in place of the SMD. I did this to my 06 and ran all 5mm LEDs in and it has worked well. If it will physically fit it should work fine.

08 and Pmason, there is a thread floating around with DIY instructions for the 04-08 trucks. Its been done and is just as easy or easier than the previous gen trucks.

Its understanding to be nervous. Do you have any soldering experience?
Screw around with a little solder first so you can get a feel for it, its very easy to pick up IMO. Then when your ready take out the pass side lock switch. all the switches are essentially the same. So if you screw it up the truck is still 99% functional till you get a replacement. Trust me its just doing that first one, once you see how easy it is youll probably have all the pass doors done in no time.
