First off look into your manual and cover up the areas it says too. I then spray the whole engine area down with 409, then take your garden hose and spray it all off. I use tire dressing to shine up all the plastic parts.

Several months back I read a post stating to use "Scrubbing Bubbles" bathroom cleaner. I tried it and I loved it. I try to use it at least once a month. Spay it on, let it work a few minutes and then hose it off. Don't use a full jet stream. Use a soft or mist type spray.

Armor All

I use armor all for all of my plastic parts. It works wonders! The power washer is not necessary unless you have some really bad build up or have gone mud boggin and it is full of mud. I usually use a 30% 409 mixture in one of those weed and feed bottles and then fill the rest up with water so it is not too potent. This seems to work great for me. I then dry all the parts off and then use my armor all for all of my plastic parts.

Armor All

I am with you with the armor all. But I apply it with the engine wet and spray it all over let it sit for a few minutes and spray it off. Gives the engine a nice new rubber and plastic look and doesn't attract as much dust..
