La west customs

I made an account to see if anyone else know a little bit about La West Customs. I own a 2000 xlt f150 that was done by La West Customs back in 1999 and everything I've looked up about the company always leads to a dead end. I've also realized that my body kit is the exact same as the 03-04 Boss f150 apart from mine being a supercab and having bedside rails.

My father bought the Prime rims and a 1in front lowering kit less than a month after buying the truck in 2000. He also bought air shocks to help tow our old camper, with a Truxedo lowpro tonneau cover. I recently added the lights in the bumper. The trucks body kit is factory apart from the lights and small repairs we have done over the years that are not visible.

I have heard of them before. I think they went out of business late 2007... I remember reading about their custom trucks.

Yeah, I think the original owner started a new business that does custom luxury vans called la west coaches.

I'd believe it. It's easier to do mods on vans and buses. Even making stretch limos. Plus the clientele is different (more commercial oriented).

Yeah I read that the owner said they filed for bankruptcy because they made luxury vehicles and not enough people want to pay the price for them. That and that the market for them was dying down.
