Plastidipped my Ford ovals and badges

I used black Plastidip for the "chrome" pieces and gray Rustoleum Flexidip for the letters.

The badges look great! Nice job..

PD is nice for small mods like this and I like it because its flat black, not into gloss. I just pealed mine after a year and a half because the corners wore off from washing them. I'm amazed at how brand new the badges were after I removed it.

How did you do the gray letters? Have any pictures of the process or a "how to"? I may want to give this a shot..

Thanks..

Thanks all. I didn't do a write up, but it's fairly simple. I removed the badges and separated the letters/numbers from the chrome part which is held together by small clips. Once they were sprayed, I put them back on with 3m double sided tape. I like them, but if want to go for a different look, I can just peel it off!

Huh, I didn't know the chrome XLT badges came in two pieces, wonder if the Lariat ones do also..

I thought only the black and red "appearance package" badges were two piece. Interesting, they must have changed with the newer 13-14 models because I have one of the first 09 badges on my truck and there just one piece..

Can anyone out there with a 13-14 Lariat confirm your badges are two piece? Thanks..

Still, they great on your truck, and your right, you can peel it off anytime you like. I just removed mine not to long ago and now sporting a different look but I want to go back to black for sure.. I need to find two piece Lariats.

Nice job

That is interesting. I would have been pissed if I ripped them off and they didn't come apart. Lol.
