I'm back...need some quick help with fender flares.
 

After being without a truck for over a year I finally made a purchase. I should have it sometime next week hopefully.

Had a 2001 before and the new one is a 2010, so I am not too familiar with them yet. Truck is already loaded, but mite add a few small extras.

Someone school me quick on bushwacker fender flares. I would like something like these pictured below. I know there are different kinds, just not sure which to get.

I have a set on my '07 and love them. They are not to difficult to install. They will be satin black and not the shinny image that you are showing. To get that look they will have to be painted. They cost about $450 for a set of four. This is what mine look like without the paint...

Don't have the truck yet so I can't look at it, but I am assuming the trim that is in the wheel wells will be removed??

The stock fender flares will have to be removed in order to install the Bushwackers. They use the same holes in the fenders, both back and the front...

Just put a set of the pocket style bushwackers like the pictures above on my 08 f150. the longest part of them is putting on that rubber gasket around the flares and doing the little stainless bolts in the pockets. once those are all done the install is simple. just make sure ur trucks not flex'd out or its a pain the butt to get to the inner fender well stock wheel well screws lol.

I didn't paint mine just did the matte black the way they came, I love the look of them!

I own the XL F150 2004. I don't have flares at all..I think..lol!!! Is there bolt holes or will I need to drill?

I didnt have to drill anything. Like 08blackxlt stated above, the longest part is putting rubber molding on. N putting nuts n bolts in the flares.

I did notice that the back wheel well of my 04 XL didn't have any bolts or hidden bolts anywhere.

I did look at the instrucktion manual and I know for the front, I need to unbolt the wheel guard bolts and use that to bolt on the flares to the front tires. But my back wheel well...there is nothing back there to bolt the flare onto...it's smooth.

Just for comparison, these are the Bushwacker Extend-A-Flare version. Very similar to the pocket style, but smooth. 1.75" additional coverage. Will balance a bit better when the 315/70-17's go on.

808 triton. Mine come with clips that secure a piece to inside of rear fende. Then flare gets screwed to that piece
