Another Painted Grill
I painted my '04s grill yesturday. Turned out very nice. Much better than the paint job I did on my old Chevys grill. I had one hell of a time trying to remove the grill from the shell. So I said f^&* it and masked and painted it.
Three layers of flat black Krylon plastic paint, and one clear coat to keep the glossy look down, also Krylon. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...8/DSC01052.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...8/DSC01053.jpg\ http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...8/DSC01054.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...8/DSC01058.jpg |

Next task, I need to buy another valance, so I will paint that black when I get it, and pull out the grey lower grill and paint that also. |
I like it - Do you have a before pic?

6.6... yummy

Did you just use rattle can paint ? Any type of clear coat afterwards ? Was going to paint my old lariat gold one black but didn't know if it would hold up.

Nice work, Darren.
You might want to look into having your valance Line-Xed in black, instead of painting it. Several guys have done this and I think it looks really good! Of course it costs more, but it should hold up really well to rock hits. - Jack |
Looks great!

Thanks guys!

Until then, you could maybe go behind it and use a fastner or something to hold it back in place so at least its not noticeable. Just a thought.

What I really need is a 6" lift  |
Your ride looks really cool and clean! I like what you did to your grille, I'm diggin' it! Now I'm thinking of doing that to my grill too.
