quick LED question

Has anyone tried to replace the white bulbs that illuminate the license plate with LED's? If so what bulb does that take? thanks.

Man I'd like to go with LED's for brake lights, reverse , license plate , 3rd brake/cargo...but it is all so confusing. The links I've seen there is a ton of 194 LEDs (4 LEDS, 6 LEDS etc.) and then for brake lights, I guess you have to get a different flasher. I'm spun.

I used these to replace both my license plate lights and front corner markers (under the amber reflector in the headlights):

As far as third brake light, I would just swap it out with an led version, plenty available on ebay or other sites. I replaced my brake lights and turn signals with led bulbs, had to replace the flasher and put on load balancers on the brake lights to fix the hyperflash and cruise control problems. These both use 3157 bulbs, so any would do, this site had the brightest I could find:

I wouldn't use led's for backups, I just don't think they are bright enough yet (at least, the bulbs I have seen commercially available).
