Window tint
Window tint
I am planning on tinting my windows in the near future. I was wondering how the extended cab windows will turn out with the little black "textured" spots around the outside of the window. Just curious from the extended cab owners how your windows turned out? Im planing on going 30% on the front windows and 5% on the rest
Thanks
Thanks
thats a huge contrast. 30% and 20% would look okay, 20% and 15% or 10% would look good. 15% and 10% or 5% would look okay. 30% and 5% though would look odd, in my opinion. I've seen some 30% and 5% around here and it just looks strange.
just my opinion.
as far as your "dotted" windows, it should come out okay so long as you have enough material on the edges and get it as smooth as you can on and around the dots.

I have had 35% tint on all of my vehicles and it looks great up against the factory tint in the rear. I tint the windows myself(really easy to do) with professional tint and I also tint the rear windows to make them much darker than the factory tint.

my F250 was inted when I bought it, 20% all around I would say, and you can just faintly see the green trim around the window and the dots dont mess it up much.
on my '01 screw, I said "f the state laws" did 5% on rear and did 20% over 5% infront
ahh it sucked at night but looked great, though i have drawn attenion of a few cops before, and putting the front windows down in winter qwhen a cop is near by is weird lol

i got some 35% for my truck. i did one window and closed the door to see how it looked. i tore it right off. tint laws suck. i'm gonna order some 20% smoke, i hear that matches the factory pretty nice, anyone that has 20% have very much of a problem seeing at night? also, just a thought, if you tinted the rear really dark and the front only 20, think it would make the 20 look light enough in contrast, say a little more like you really had 35?
my F250 has 20% all around and its perfect, though I still would feel safer with brighter reverse bulbs, but 20% is right on the money. If you black the rear doors & rear window out and do 210% infront it will all look the same, you would have to be face pressed up on the glass to see in, and would have to have an open moonroof for it to shine light in the interior & see through the tint, all in all 20% is the way to go
I got 5% all the around... that is of course except the windshield and it looks really good can get some pics if someone wants them... Kinda scared about an ******* cop with a razor... besides that im in the clear... Family friends with someone who has an inspection shop
Here is pics of mine after the 35% tint (all the way around, even over the factory tint in the rear). Tinting over the factory tint in the rear really makes the front doors look much darker than 35%.
