Leveling Kits.. Pro's and Con's.....

Okay guys.. Ive recently went up to a 265/75/16 Tire on my 01 XLT 4.6L and really notice a "slant" (which is kinda a real sporty look) in the truck.

If I wanted to put on a leveling kit (75.00 spacers for the front springs) what are the pro's and con's of having one?
- stiffer ride?
-alignment problems?
-what size to get, 1 1/2, or 2"?

The real only pro I can think of is appearance, and bringing the total truck up to the 1" or so lift in the front that the bigger tires gave me.

Thanks guys for the replies in advance...

What more reason do you need than appearance?

 ....well I dont need any more reason to do it than appearance... but it might sway my decision if the proceedure comes with alot more cons (like alignment problems, etc) than the pro's that the appearance offers. :coffee: ;)

I've got my 2" EZ-Lifts awaiting installation. From what I've read here you will need an alingment and some of the members who have installed the 2.5" AutoSprings have had rubbing on the (IIRC) upper control arm.

The look is worth it and I can't wait to have mine installed - was going to do it myself - but my floor jack and jack stands are "car sized" and at full extension the floor jack is not high enough to get the truck off the ground>

where did you find the leveling kits for 97-03 body style, I was going to jack up my torsion bars but if I can get these wouldn't it safe on extra strain on the front end suspension?
