Installation of Bull Bars

I was just curious how easy it was to install Bull Bars (specifically Westin's) on a 2004. Did any of you install your own or did you have them installed? Any problems if you did install them on your own?

Thanks in advance for your input

Installing the bar couldn't be easier. the hardest part is attaching the lights to the bar.

You remove a total of 4 bolts. These bolts hold on your tow hooks. You remove them and install the bull bar at the same location using the same bolts. Couldn't possibly be any easier. Your wasting you money if you pay someone to install it.

Is it possible to retain the tow hooks using longer bolts?

Went with the Westin Ultimate Bull Bar, KC Lights, and the license plate relocator.

Sherm, Dude props to your truck! I really like your truck it looks great, Shhhhhh, don't tell Hoss! Also your girl is a hottie too, makes me want a sliding rear window! Shhhhhh, don't tell the wife!

Anyway I like what you have done with your truck, one of the nicest I've seen. Sorry I don't have pics of Hoss, but I'll get a digital camera hopefully for x-mas.

The 4 bolts that mount the tow hooks come out and you remove the tow hooks, put the bull bar up and line up the holes then put the bolts back in. The nuts are inside the frame.

IMO go with the smittybilt one. I just picked up a brand new one off ebay for my truck black for 140 bucks compared what westin wants i figured i couldn't go wrong.
