+12V Remote on a Factory HU

I knew I needed this, and yet I waited till the last second to find out....

*sigh*

I'm installing a new amp in my 2000 F-150 Supercab. It's the single CD/FM/AM model. Does anyone know the color of the wire for the +12V Remote on the harness?

(Right now I'm running straight off the audio fuse in the fusebox, so any help is mucho appreciated)

Thanks guys.

If you bought the wiring harness to install your CD Player... its usually blue. If its factory wiring.. I have no idea.

Yeah, it's a factory deck.

Thanks sooooo much for the complete list, why can't a guy find something like that floating around on the net?

Again, thanks a bunch.

So, exactly which wire did you splice your remote turn-on to? Did it work? I am in the same boat, having an amp hooked up to my factory radio, and the remote lead stuck in the fuse box.

chumrob,

You will want to use the BLUE wire on the factory HU. If it is not there then you will need to use a switched lead and in that case it would be the black/purple.
