I only hope the new 5.4L will put out the #'s the revised 5.7 will. And as for the 6.2L, Dodge already has the 6.1L Hemi which matches the hp of the 6.2L and has more tq than the 6.2L also.

Has the interior layout of the F150 really changed that much? Doesn't look like it to me.

go away ya ****in troll. the 5.4 will not match the 5.7 because its a 6+ year old engine. The 6.2 will match and exceed the "revised" 5.7. I didnt realize the front fascia and tailights equaled the front end, hood, quarter panels, tailgate, rear end, transmission, and interior console.

It looks good for sure! From the side though... you could take an 06 07 or 08 put the 09 wheels on it, put the tailgates up, and they don't look that different. They may have tweeked some things on the quarter panels, but it looks really similar from the side. I do like the step behind the back door to get to the tailgate... nice touch.

Take the front clip ( fenders, hood, fasia) and taillights with tailgate and to me you have an 04-08 F150.

Keep in mind, this is my opinion. It's seems I've already offended one fanboy....

ive said this before but ill say it now, ford didnt need to completely redesign a truck from scratch... The truck was only 4 years old.. The previous f150 stayed the same for 6-7 years. This is a good redesign but not an overhaul. Ford's problem was with the lack of power, not the lack of design......

I compared the buttons on the current truck to the new dash and the number of buttons is very close. The difference is the layout, currently most of the buttons are smaller and grouped in either the HVAC controls or the radio. In the new truck the buttons are all separate. Also note that the only dash I have seen is on the Lariat/Platinum trucks with the auto climate controls. This adds an entire extra set of buttons that will be replaced by a few ***** on the lower trims.

You left out a few parts like the doors, bed side, both bumpers, tailgate, all the external lights and the side mirrors. The only thing that is the same shape is the door handles and they are now painted. The overall body lines are similar, but it is an entirely new truck.

Really?

Side windows, door handles, box, rear bumper, mirrors, wheel wells, box ( exception on taillights ) look really simular.

The 6.2 should be a late spring entry engine and maybe introduced as an early 2010. The 6.7 Scorpion diesel for the SuperDuty should make it's appearance in 2011 if all emmissions certifications/testing works out. Look for the 5.4 to be replaced with the 5.8 probably as a 2011 or2012 model. Look for Ford to be moving into high pressure gas direct injected engines. The HP/Tq gains are fabulous for small engines like a 6 banger making 400 HP/ 450 lbs Tq with twin turbos. Fuel mileage is up on these about 30% over a similiar HP engine. While Ford may not the #1 car maker today, they haven't been asleep and there are many new technologies coming out from them to put them back as the best and the newest. It's going to be an exciting decade for Ford.
Twin T's? I can't wait - Where do I sign

The lenghts of the doors have been changed and the belt line looks different. I already mentioned that the handles are now painted. The rear bumper is close but looks like it has been changed to match the new belt line. The new mirrors have look very close to the 250 with a chrome top and signal in the middle and two ribs in the middle. The new wheel wells go in and then flair out plus they flair out further. The box has the new fender flairs and the rear of it looks sorta like the Sport Track plus it has a new step built in.

Other than all these changes I guess they do look similar, I mean the blue oval is right in the middle on all of them.

Yes really. They are similar, but they have changed. I can't see the difference in the doors from these pictures, so I'm gonna say they haven't changed. So the doors and the roof are the only pieces of sheetmetal that transferred from the 04-08 trucks. Every other piece of sheet has changed, including the mirrors.

ETA: The doors are supposed to be the same size in front now. No more longer doors on the SCABS, short doors on the SCREW and REG CAB.
