xcal economy mode

What kind of fuel economy are you seeing with the xcal in economy mode?

Unless the Xcal changes the air/fuel ratio of the engine, you won't see any measurable MPG gains. I suppose you could see a slight increase based on shift strategy changes, but that gain would be HARD to measure, if it existed.

And if I'm wrong (and I have been before) please explain HOW your truck gets better fuel mileage. There's a reason for everything. I don't want to hear, "the world is flat, Shut up" And if you say you get .5 mpg or .2 mpg better, then....

I have the edge, and I can tell you that mileage is no different whatsoever. And I run EVERY TANK until the needle is in the red OR LOWER. I live a long way from my pump, and I barely squeak home without filling up. I monitor it every tank, and have done a lot of experiments. I have found that the faster you go, the more fuel you burn. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Adding weight to the truck doesn't have as big of an effect as going fast.

I said months ago that I wouldn't do this but maybe I will be forgiven someday.
The man asked about the XCal2 not the Edge. The big difference is that Mike can and does write many ECONOMY tunes, something the Edge CAN NOT give you. So your statements concerning your Edge are fruitless and meaningless on this issue...

Harleyfarmen, I suggest you call Mike or one of his associates at Troyer Performance and get the proper answer to your question...
