New white LED signals in mirror!

I got my LED's in from www.oznium.com . I have several plans for these, one of them being the center console light mod. I also wanted some forward facing LED's in my mirrors as turn signals because you can't see that orange one from the direct side or off to the front of the truck, plus I thought it would look badass. I took the mirror glass out and removed the mirror cover by taking out the 4 torx screws under the glass. I drilled holes 2 inches apart along the bottom edge of the mirror cover and then wired these things in and spliced them parallel to the existing signal. One of the LED's on the side aims out more which is good for side traffic, that's why it looks dimmer. Here's the pics!

I like it, but how clean is it? Can you get a picture up close to one of the holes?

Good idea!

Looks good... I just replaces all 3157 bulbs on my heads and tails with led's... Love the whiter/blue look than the tan/yellow look... Great Mod

Lol, not to hijack my own thread but what type, brand and all did you use for those 3157's? I had a set a while back of the ones that had all standard led's,18 forward facing ones and 6 backfiring ones and they weren't bright enough to really differentiate between flashing and on, especially during the day. I have seen a few SMT led towers and a few 1W per led bulbs that seem to be brighter but I'm still not sure what to get.

And as far as clean, it looks pretty much factory, the holes fit the LED's perfectly and they are a tight fit. The bulb dome only sticks out about 2-3mm from the mirror housing.

That's unique... nice mod there, Matt.

Similar to Thump, I'm a bit concerned about the finished look... can you snare some close-up shots?

I think that looks cool. But a Trooper out here would be all over that if he saw it since it's forward facing and not amber. Can you get amber leds?

I stuck with the 3157's from V-Leds.com, the same company that most guys on here bought the interior lights from.

You have to buy the Resistors for the lights... I ordered the lights and went driving without blinkers for a week
I love them... There is a Thread in GD that has a video of the back lights... Here it is...

Ok here's a close pic. As you can see it's a pretty clean setup.

how are they held in the holes Matt? It's a fantastic idea. I was thinking of doing lighting underneath the seats, and then a courtesy light underneath the mirror. You did have to remove the mirrors to take off the glass correct. This is, without a doubt one of my favorite unique mods on any truck here.
