I'm Back!!!!

Hello everyone!! What an emotional roller-coaster it has been over the last year and change. I ended up having to trade in my 15 caribou scab because we had an unexpected surprise!
About 4 months into my wife's pregnancy, her tummy (and baby) were literally on the dash airbags. I wasn't comfortable with that, I didn't need to get into an accident and have the airbags go off and hurt (or worse) my unborn child.
I ended up trading her in for a 2016 Explorer ecoboost with only 38k miles and what a freaking nightmare. Turbo repairs, transmission rebuild, p.t.u. replaced, new water pump, lower control arms, door lock actuator, oil leak from the pan, e.t.c. over the course of 1 year.
I had the opportunity to get back into an F-150 and I took it as fast as possible last week.
There are alot out there but I was being picky on what I wanted ::cough and could afford cough::.
I ended up driving 10 hours 600 miles one way to get her and OM MY GOD IM SOOO MUCH HAPPIER!!!
2015 F150 Screw. This thing has more room than the explorer, better gas mileag, and runs a hell of a lot better..
(rattle from heat shield I think,, didn't notice it on test drive, and wife heard engine tick. I can't remember if my old scab had that or not).
Talk to you guys soon
Pat

Thank you, it feels good to be back and back driving an F-150.
She has the 3.5 non ecoboost. I had that in my last F-150 and I liked it. I got turned off from ecoboost after all the issues with my explorer so I wanted either the same engine I had before in my F-150 or the 5.0

The Explorer was roomier? Hard to imagine an Explorer having a larger passenger area.

A few years ago, I bought a "people mover". I realized that as much as I liked driving a pickup truck, it just was not ideal for passengers. Same with the motorcycle. No such thing as a car seat on the back of a Harley. I didn't get rid of the truck. I still have my truck for doing things that I like to do. And I still ride the bike. But I wussed out and bought a Transit Connect. 7 seats. Plenty of space, even if the passenger is pregnant. Built in anchor system for child safety seats. Better fuel economy compared to an old pickup truck. Not so good for picking up chicks. Girls cross to walk on the opposite side of the street, when there's a creepy white van with tinted windows.
