How much is too much lift

In this video, Van Voris says the six inch lift he had on his last truck was just too much for around town, and he went with a shorter one here. But like Brett said on the HP, these
generally aren't cheap parts, so you don't want to make the wrong call. How far have you gone with a lift? Ever gone too far?

I can say I've never gone overboard with mods, but every mod I've made has been really subtle.

My last F-150 had a 3" body lift with 4" Suspension Lift on 35" tires. It was comfortable and I did daily drive it. I'm curious how high I can go with my 18 and still be able to enjoy it. I was looking at the BDS and ReadyLIFT kits before buying my truck.

Zero on these 2015+ trucks. They look great stock with 33 inch tires. I can pull a 20 ft 14k rated equipment trailer with it without any problems (besides blown or junk fx4 shocks I need to replace). I am grossing 10-11k with it and it is sitting like it’s made to do it. Didn’t buy this truck to pull but my F250 was down last week. Besides the ****ty shocks this truck is really capable for a half ton. Just wanted to add that in to this lift discussion.

Maybe 1 inch level on a new super duty.

I have had leveled half tons and even a 2500 Dodge Cummins with full suspension (could probably have run BAJA in it). If you plans to use it don’t jack with them unless you do your home work. No more leveled half tons for me...

Unless you have money to burn all lift kits will wear parts out faster and cost more $$ in the long run, kill gas mileage (larger tires) and handling. A coilover leveling kit is the most I would do.
