Leveling and Tire Questions

New Member here and first time ford owner. I have been in 3 consecutive GM's (1500, 2500) and really love this new truck!

Anyways, I really want to get this truck off the ground a little bit. I got a 15 XLT crew cab with the 6.5 box and I think lifting it a bit will take away the limousine look it has. I do tow a bass boat a good bit in the summers and want to make sure that I don't look like I am driving up hill when its in tow. If I went with a 2" leveling kit would I be OK or do I still need a rear block added?

Regarding tires, I really don't want to sacrifice the current ride just yet. Driving this compared to the 3/4 ton I had is a slice of heaven. It looks like if I go any bigger I will need LT rated tires?

Any help or suggestions on a kit would be appreciated.

If you hook up the boat now and the rear end goes down, you'll either need to add a bigger block along with your level kit or get air bags to be able to keep the rear end up. Otherwise, the rear end will go down and the front will stay at the same height.

Maybe a little less lift in the front (daystar budget boost) so you can possibly avoid the rear bags, just a thought. A "P" rated 275/60/20 gets you into 33" tires without sacrificing your ride. I had the same concerns because I tow a boat as well and didn't want the sag but didn't want to do the bags or timbrens. I did bilsteins on .75" (got me an inch) and LT275/70/18 BFG TA's and it works real good with just the boat on. With 1000 lbs in the bed it and boat it does sag but it's not ASSS dragging the rear bumper. Hope this helps.
