2019 f150 4X4 REG CAB / SHORT BOX LOWERED
I just lowered my 2019 f150 with a BellTech lowering kit, shackles in the rear (4" drop) and struts/springs in the front (2" drop). Everything went good but now I have a slight vibration in the truck....Any answers ?? We checked the pinion angle it is 5deg. The kit came with a 3 deg shim that we utilized. Again thanks for any help in advance.

Anyhoo, who did you take it to? I recommend Whitesboro Spring. |

My RCSB 2WD took 5 degrees of shim before it was right. I ended up about 1.5 degrees down before the vibration was gone. I do not understand how you could have put 3 in and still be at 5. Do you have a 2 piece driveshaft with center bearing? If so you need to work with all three angles to achieve your end goal. If it is a one piece, 3 brought me to about 3 down but my truck did not like that angle. Bottom line, if you need more shim you will be building new locating pins to hold your shim in place and locate the axle. I ordered cap screws from McMaster-Carr, machined the head diameter down to fit, opened the holes in the shim to allow the pins to fit (they will not go through a round hole) and then cut the head height to make sure they did not contact the axle housing. If you have a two piece shaft you need to move the centerbearing down to achieve the correct angles but still may need 4,5 or 6 degrees of shim at the housing. BellTech makes shims available as will any speed shop in your area. If one still exists.
