Just bought the Garrett 2015+ Intercooler upgrade for my 2018 XLT 2.7 super nice part and really well made.. This is advertised as a bolt on installation where you don't have to remove the bumper. The installation instructions are OK but leave out a couple of steps that need to be done so it will fit on the truck, specifically 5 additional steps over the base instructions are required for this intercooler to fit in the stock location.

1. You must loosen the upper intercooler bracket using a 13mm wrench just enough so the upper bracket has some movement.
2. After you remove the airflow guide off the shutter assembly, You must shave off appox. 1/8 to 1/4 inch off the left and right frame sides of intercooler shutter assembly. If you do not do this the intercooler will not fit into the upper bracket on the left side, this was the only way i was able to get enough clearance before the intercooler would fit into place otherwise the shutter assembly interferes.
3. Once the intercooler is up in place with both upper grommets in the upper intercooler bracket you will find that the lower bracket if off by about 1/4 inch and you cannot put the bolts back in the factory holes.
4. You must drill new holes in the lower bracket right beside the existing holes to get the lower bracket bolted up.
5. Tighten up the upper bracket bolts last.
