I have a 2016 F-150 XL and I'm swapping the jump seat for a center console. The console came with the harness connecting all the 12v etc and the USB ports with a male USB-B lead. However, the USB-B lead won't reach the controller in the dash and I don't see where the other harness coming out of the console is supposed to plug in. I'd really like everything in the console to work as it is supposed to but my local Ford dealership simply says "this is why you don't alter trucks." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the dash harness is different, my 2015 harness simply doesnt have the connections at the base of the dash

that being said, if its true USB to USB you could probably easily buy an aftermarket extension cable of your choice of length

 

Thank you! And thanks for your posts elsewhere on your swap. I think I've got the USB side figured out. Did you end up wiring all 12V receptacles in your console or just the front one?

 

my 2015 harness is going into my 2003 truck, so i've deleted basically everything except the engine, trans, and cluster
