2016 F150 FX4 Clanking Suspension

Hi, I haven't owned an F150 before, and I notice that there is metal on metal clanking type sounds from the front suspension when I hit bumps or potholes in the road. I can only hear it when the front windows are down. When they are closed, I don't hear any suspension sound at all. Is this normal? I took it to the dealer and they didn't quite answer my question. They said if it gets worse, to come back in. Thank you.

Metal clanking could be a number of reasons:

1. Exhaust or exhaust shield noises.
2. Faulty control arm or strut.
3. Loose lug nuts.

Thank you! I will pass this along to my dealer when I take the truck in next week!

Brake dust shield? Sometimes this needs to be moved away from the rotor a little bit.
Skid plate bolt missing?
