15 F150 hit in the rear at 35mph. Pics

Young kid was texting on his phone and the new 15 was parked on the side of the street.. Toyota hit it almost dead on and pushed the F150 2 houses up from where it was originally parked.

Feel sorry for the owner of the new truck.. It still has the dealer tags on it.

Cant go much faster on the road,Its a 35 mph speed limit and they have whoop dee doo's every block, most people slow down for them then speed up to the limit then back down for the next set. If he would have been going much faster he would've been air born going over them.

Back in the high school days 40 mph would launch the ranger with all 4 tires off the ground

People who text n drive p!$$ me off to no end. Almost was involved in a very bad accident a year ago I ran my truck into the ditch to avoid the mess (very shallow grassy ditch). an elderly couple was almost killed because some punk kid was texting.

It does suck to be the owner of that truck. You should have gave them info on f150online.com while you were there.

The front of Toyota looks lIke faster than 35 also. However, they may be engineering impact absorption zones into the newer trucks. Think of how massive the frame is under the cab as opposed to over the rear axle. Interesting the lights are still working on Ford.

He should yank as much off that 15 as they will allow. Tailights alone would help with another down payment.

Doesn't matter if it's steel or aluminium, the passenger compartment must meet federal crash standards.

Really sucks for the guy with the new truck, but really, all things considered it held up just about like it should. Looks like pretty much like any other truck that was parked, and got hit at 30 mph would.
