Changes for 2015 all in one place.....

So there are a lot of things that have changed and I know most of the folks here are like me in that they care about some of the smaller detail stuff. So, I figured I would start a thread where we could list all the changes we know about (big and small) in one place, rather than everyone having to scour 15,000 websites and youtube vids. I'll start off with-

-XLT has a "normal" console now, not a truncated one
-Heated seats on cloth seating
-Center console is just over 2" wider for better utility

I noticed all of these items in a CNET youtube vid located here-

Please dont be bashful, add anything you spot!

I don't think this video is showing the XLT interior. He is showing a silver XLT up up on stage. But later in the video he is sitting in the red Lariat FX4.

Notice the woodgrain is gone so somehow you can get rid of the Lariat woodgrain with the FX4 package. Someone was asking about this before.

That may be true, but the seats are definitely cloth, not leather. I dont picture a scenario where a Lariat would have cloth seats.

Doug Scott confirms on this video from Fox News that the 6.2 will not be coming back later. 3.5 EB will be the top of the line engine...

Gerrard, You are right. It is an XLT with the full console. I found the photos of the truck on another site. XLT's are looking snazzy now.

The ugly smaller stereo screen and lack of floor shifter was the main thing that turned me off from the XLT as it is currently configured. When I'm ready to buy a 2017 model, this may save me a lot of money.

To get those features and keep cloth seats is intriguing.

Also appears FX4/2 will be options on trim lines instead of being a stand alone trim level. Notice the FX4 sticker on the bed of the XLT.

That XLT has the FX4 package on it, that is why it has all those options...

People have been complaining about not having a nice stereo on the XLT for years. It looks like we can get the nicer stereo with MFT. This is huge.

Keeping the cloth with the big screen will be nice for those who don't want leather, but want some of the new technology.

I'm guessing if we add the Sport Package or FX4, the floor shifter will be added to XLT. I just hope I can get all of this with an SuperCab 8' bed. At least the availability of a big screen on all XLT cab/bed configurations looks very promising...

Digging that the body color grille and bumper is now an option package on XLT rather than a separate trim-level. Just wish it didn't force the console shifter on me. Such a useless waste of space to have that.

The thing I don't like is the reverse PTM handles. Yuck. Full PTM would look perfect. Love the truck!
