Metal shaping the damaged aluminum

I don't have very good luck with searches so I'll ask a question here. I need to work a dint out of a crew cab corner. I understand that aluminum is very hard to reshape and will crack easily. I have also heard that if it is heated first it becomes softer and can be shaped with a hammer and dolly. Where can I find info on this? THANKS in advance.

Hello Hello Really need help in pushing out a dint on a cab corner. Tried to find some You Tube info on this with no luck. Need to know how much to heat the area. Have heard heat will make the metal shape-able with a hammer and dolly. Also heard it will crack the aluminum! CoNfUsEd !

I think it would be easier to chop it out and replace it from a donor truck or fabricate it in the shop. Then weld it in place.
