Ordered New King Ranch ?
 

I ordered a 2018 King Ranch on 12/18 I called the dealer today and they still don't have an order number
My ? is when and how long is the Louisville Truck plant down for the Holidays ? That is there excuse they gave me.
Im thinking they didn't put the order in the same day i was there ?

Do you know for sure the truck is being built at the Louisville plant?

The new 2018 F-150 goes on sale in fall 2017. It will be built at Dearborn Truck Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.

What are there Holiday schedules

The dealer should have an order number as soon as they place the order into the system. If they don't have one, they haven't ordered it yet.

The way it works is the dealer assigns an order number, the factory assigns a VIN when it's put on the build schedule. I think you are going to have to talk to the dealer again. Tell them you want their order number and dealer code, not the VIN. With those 2 items and your name you can use the tracker I linked.

Either the dealer thought you wanted the VIN, or they are sitting on your order.

The reason I asked. When I ordered my 2018 I was told it will come out of the KC assembly plant. When it arrived, the windshield sticker said it was built in Dearborn, Michigan.

G. So this what the dealership emailed me today

So I talked to Ford yesterday for allocation on what we can build & I know that we have some order fills waiting. As of this morning we cannot build the following this month. She is going to try to make some moves to get us an allocation but chances are slim.

Rod (Unique Systems Super duty) We do not have an allocation to build this unit
Matt (Kraus Mustang) We do not have an allocation to build this car
Harold (Quinn F-150) We do not have an allocation to build this unit

I will let you know if anything changes but we need to come up with an alternative plan unless the customers have patience to wait another full month before building.

So I would like to know when was the truck ordered and why did it take so long

I’m going to the dealer Tomorrow they would have to give me my deposit back ? If I go to a different dealer this could happen again? The dealer Toms ford of Keyport N.J. has a good reputation? Because it’s a Mom and Pop dealer are they on the Bottom of the food chain with ford ?
