I have a Lariat, with the auto controls and a black interior, but my truck goes from very hot on a 100 degree day to nice, but not cooled off completely in about 2 minutes. 5-10 minutes later as long as I am moving it is cooled off to spool the fan down to a level where talking on the phone is nothing above your normal voice. I have heard issues with the previous generation crew cab trucks, but mine is nice, maybe the best I have had.

 

Just got our '15 4 weeks ago but in 85 degree temps it blows ice cubes. So in a nutshell Id say yes the new ones work better
