I think I know the answer to this already, but does anyone know or has anyone tried to fit a topper from a 2011-2014 bodystyle to a 2015 or 2016? Will it work?

I have a 2013 5.5 ft box and truck cap and was hoping on the outside chance that it would fit a 2015/2016....

 

The tailgate is different, so I don't think it would be a perfect fit.

 

No, it wont, the rear end is different, including the gate.

 

It seems that I read somewhere that the 15+ have wider beds.. Not 100% on that..

 

I just spent $2,500 on a new Snugtop because my 2010 won't fit and of course they changed the gray color....

 

Like others have stated, no it won't fit.


I also had to purchase a new cap adding almost 2K on top of the cost of my 2016 F150 Lariat. Just had the new A.R.E. cap along with a BedRug installed yesterday and looks great!

 

The 15-16 trucks are different than all earlier models and toppers are not interchangeable

 

The glass window needs a very specific shape to clear and rest on the top of the tailgate. That trapezoidal shape is quite inconvenient from a cap-making standpoint. But my Leer 180XL fits snug as a bug and looks excellent.
