Yes, please provide photos and all the details that you can. I'm currently truck shopping and having a difficult time finding all the options I want on the same truck.

Thanks.

If you have the time order what you want. It's easier and cheaper.

If you currently have the 40/20/40 seat and want the 40/console/40 setup, it should be a pretty straight forward swap. Both should mount the same, with the differences being any added usb ports, and or ac vents that the console might have over the seat. From what I could see in looking at both of them, it looks like the dash is the same on both. I am supposed to be getting mine any day now and it is supposed to have the console in it. There is another console that is available. It is the "Unique 40/console/40 that has the shifter in the console and not on the column like the other console does.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

It was pretty straight forward swap. The console mounts to the same mounting bracket as the jump seat, but does not use the same holes requires a smaller bolt. To hook up the AC vent in the new console I would have needed to remove, or cut the vinyl flooring. I didn't want to do either. The existing ducts run under the flooring to vents under the front seats. I had to remove the ducts from the console so there was no interference with the existing(yes, I now have useless vents on my console). The dash is not the same. I had to order from Ford new panels that run beside the head unit($50 a piece from Ford). They have a cut out at the bottom of the panel to accept the console.
The hardest part of the swap was trying to figure out how remove Sync tray below the heat controls. I had to remove the head unit in order to expose the 2 bolts holding the tray on.
The whole thing took about four hours. If you know what you are doing it would probably take 1-2 hours.

Great job. I love having the center console with the shifter on the column. Lots of room to put all my stuff like food/wallet/phone/badge/etc.

Absolutely.
A coworker has the console with shifter. I like the console with column shifter much better.

Also there is a hiding place under the rubber mat where the shifter would be.

Yea I thought I would like the shifter on the column as well. I don't race this thing and don't need to shift it from the floor. I am more than ready for mine to be done at the upfitter. It has been there since July 23rd or so. Not sure why they need it that long, but oh well. My 2013 is still very capable, I just like new toys.
Glad you got it installed. It makes sense that you had to remove that sync tray below looking at your pictures. Thanks for the write up.
