Transmission Temperature Gauge Drops to Cold at Stops

TSB 09-11-1

TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE GAUGE DROPS TO COLD AT STOPS


FORD: 2009 F-150


ISSUE:
Some 2009 F-150 vehicles may experience the transmission temperature gauge in the instrument cluster dropping to cold intermittently. This condition would only occur at idle with the transmission in gear.

ACTION:
Reprogram the instrument cluster module (ICM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 60.13 and higher or 61.03 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2009.5 DVD.

WARRANTY STATUS:
Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage
IMPORTANT: Warranty coverage limits/policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part.

Do the dealers know about this and/or have the software ???

Has anyone had this done yet ????

when you bring your truck in for service or this specific complaint we have to run your truck for TSB's as part of our diag procedure, so it will come up. and any TSB relating to a customer concern is supposed to be carried out first before any other repairs are attempted.
