AfterMarket Mayhem: 2008 SEMA Show Photos & Coverage Part 1

Just because the economy has come to a screeching halt, the banking industry is upside down, and nobody wants to buy a new vehicle isn't any reason to be glum. Because it's SEMA time; the time of year when all the silly and whacky and extreme vehicles make their way to Las Vegas to capture a little bit of attention at one of the biggest car shows on the planet. Technically, it's a trade show and closed to the public, many of the companies involved, including the more intelligent automotive manufacturers, spend all year designing and building their special rigs so they can show off their creativity. In a nutshell, if you take away all the buying and selling that goes on, SEMA is all about automotive creativity. We'll bring you all the cool pickups and SUVs we can find, with as much information as we can gather in the time it takes to shoot a photo and run up to our rooms for downloading. And don't be surprised if you see some of the more interesting vehicles show up in Truck Trend Magazine's SEMA coverage in the March/April issue. In the meantime, enjoy the wildest and crazy car show of the year.
The 2008 SEMA show kicks off on election day, Tuesday November 4, and runs until Friday November 7.
