Custom Grille Guard Build

I don't really like the look of lets say the Westin grille guard. Doesn't really give any kind of protection for the intercooler. I did have some pictures of one from a crash. I'll post those pictures once I find them again. So I decided to design and make my own. Designed it to mount using the lower tow hook mounts. Will have a bracket connecting vertical to the frame. Looking at adding another bracket going threw the gap for the intercooler scoop. Haven't designed the protection for the headlights yet. May also add some tubing in the grille area. The plans are made using Google Sketchup.

Before anyone says or asks. Yes that's a Harbor Freight metal cutting band saw. The little saw been very good to me and has seen allot of metal. Here's some picture of one of my other projects that saw has been used for. Looking at getting a 7 x 12 band saw soon.

Going to start tack welding the pieces together tomorrow and check the fitment. If everything looks good, back off to finish welding. Hopefully be able start on the area to protect the headlights. Also I plan on weighting the pieces before I weld to get a better idea of the total weight.
