Fuel full inlet

Here we are again....the fuel fill inlet light came on. Then the check engine light came on. We did research and found this is a common issue with this fuel system. We bought a locking gas cap. Any suggestions on how to get the check engine light to go off? We need to get emissions done by 7/9 when the drive out tag expires. Thanks!

Use a scan tool and reset it.

Thank you for the suggestion. We will have to try to find a different solution. We aren't trying to spend that kind of money at the moment.

You don't need a $100 scanner to clear codes. A $20 code reader can do that.
