I have a 2010 F150 lariat super crew with 160,000 on the dash. It's still a great looking truck and still runs great. The only issue I have so far is when I turn on the a/c the fan kicks on and it sounds Loud , not like a rattling noise. just sounds like the fan is turned up really high , all the gauges or normal when this is happening and when you turn AC off it goes away. What can I do to correct this issue and also what can I do to keep the truck running strong?

If you are saying the fan only runs on high speed, it may be the resistor which is a common failure on my vintage and maybe yours too. It's an easy replacement.

Roadie, I *think* he is referring to the engine fan, not the blower fan. That would require PCM reprogramming.

Lariat has the 5.4 3 valve as standard.

Just keep up with your normal maintenance. Use the recommended 5w20 Motorcraft oil and Motorcraft filter, change it religiously. If it's never been done, the transmission is due for a fluid exchange. Change the coolant and differential/transfer case lubes, consider flushing the brake fluid.
