Truck doesn't want to go into gear?

 

Be more specific.

 

Start it up, orange line is there when its in Park, then try to change to reverse, orange line goes away, will clunk, might go into reverse, letting you back up a little, try to put it in Drive, orange line goes away, might clunk to sound like its going in gear but then wont move.

Crawl under the driver's side of the truck and see if the cable is actually moving the input shaft. If it isn't the cable is bad.
