Will Ford OEM 2004 - 2008 Bed Extender fit on my 2010??

The reason is that I don't like the black plastic bed extender. It doesn't extend much on to the tailgate, bypassing the corners and only goes 75% to the end of the trailgate. The 2004 - 2008 is more square, caging in most of the tailgate but does angle in very slightly to work with tonneau cover mounts.

This will work with my Extang Solid Fold tonneau cover's long spring latches.

Also, does this remove by flipping it up and pulling up?? Many bed extenders do this. I don't want a permanent mounted bed extender as sometimes it will be in the way when I put pedal bikes in the bed while I tow my trailer. The tailgate must stay up. I know the separating black plastic bed extender is permanently mounted with a bolt.

Otherwise I may just get the Amp Research bed extender with the univeral easy latch that allow it to come off the bracket at any angle. Doesn't look like this more square extender will work with my long cover spring latches so it will have to be pushed to the middle of the bed or go in the shed when I'm not using it.

Thanks!!

It will work but you have to get the hardware with it, the middle bolt. I wish I would of known before I bought the new one, would of kept my old bed extender. I am with you and think it is much better.

Absolutly fits the 2010. I have one in my FX2 and it works great and does not interfere the bakflip either...and you will need the mounting bolts and nylon inserts for the locking pins...

Same question

The problem I've encountered is that the receptical for the mounting hardware is not threaded. Any advice is appreciated.
